HOW TO GET YOUR WATER/WASTEWATER ACCOUNT QUESTIONS ANSWERED WATER ACCOUNT DISPUTE

If you have questions regarding your water/wastewater account, please contact a Customer Account Services Representative at 713.371.1400 or by e-mail at customer.service@houstontx.gov. 

If you are not satisfied with the resolution offered, you may request an Administrative Review of your account.  

According to City Ordinance 47-70.1, you have 90 days from the date of the first disputed bill to request the review.

The Customer Account Service (CAS) service request type - Water/Wastewater Billing Review - will serve to introduce billing complaints or concerns to CAS.  

A representative of the Quality Review Section, after a thorough review the account to ensure that your bill is accurate, will contact you by phone. 

If you are still not satisfied with the resolution, the reviewing officer will offer you an Administrative Hearing and will make a second offer for an Administrative Hearing in a follow-up letter that recaps the Review discussion. If you are making the request at this time, you  must request an Administrative Hearing within ten days of the date of the letter.
